Directory practice
Original sources and transparent ownership come first.
- Prefer an original publisher or exact broadcast appearance page over an aggregator.
- Label syndicated or redistributed copies so they are not counted as separate reporting.
- Keep first-party context distinct from independent verification.
- Preserve outlet, publication date, source URL, transcript, player, poster, and rights state where applicable.
- Use the archive hostname for appearance pages and the media hostname only for approved media files.
