Baking Pan Converter

Calculate a geometric batter or recipe multiplier between two pans while keeping area and volume assumptions separate.

Calculated result

Enter values and select Calculate.

Formula and worked example

Area mode uses πr² for round pans, side² for square pans, and length × width for rectangles. Volume mode multiplies those areas by entered depth. Multiplier = target measure ÷ source measure.

An 8-inch round pan to a 9-inch round pan at equal depth gives 81 ÷ 64 = 1.265625×.

Assumptions and limits

Geometry does not guarantee identical baking. Batter depth, pan material, oven behavior, and recipe chemistry can change results; no bake time is predicted.

Dynamic ingredient tools support up to 100 rows. Calculations require finite bounded values, retain full internal precision, and round only for display.

Calculation-only boundary

This utility does not provide nutrition, allergy, substitution, food-safety, cooking-doneness, or medical advice. Confirm recipe-specific technique and safe preparation separately.
