Formula and worked example

Rectangle: lw. Square: s². Triangle: bh÷2. Circle: πr². Parallelogram: bh. Trapezoid: (a+b)h÷2.

A 10 by 5 rectangle has area 50 square units. A circle with radius 5 has area 25π, approximately 78.5398 square units.

Calculations retain floating-point precision and use controlled display formatting. Decimal results involving π are approximations.
