You guys need a hand? Yes. Yeah? Here, you want me to push you back?
Thank you. Yeah, you're welcome. Is this you guys' dad? Yeah.
Yeah? You guys have to do this every day? Yes. Really?
Yes. How we doing, pops? I'm Josh. Not every day.
Not every day? Only when we going places. Yeah? If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your legs?
Diabetes, both. How long ago was it? About 2 months ago. Oh, so the that one was recent?
Yes. And you said these are your daughters? Yes. Do they help you get around?
Yes, the only way I get around. Well, you raised them right. So, what were you doing before you were a janitor? In the Navy.
Hey, thanks for your service. How long were you in the Navy for? 32 years. That's longer than I've been alive, dude.
Why did you join the service to begin with? I guess to believe in something. My mom, her dad was in the Navy and I had pictures of them all over and then I decided to go to the Navy and have a purpose. Yeah, people like you are the reason that we can live in a country where we're free.
I want to be honest, your daughter nominated you because she said that you're a loving caring dad. I have money with me. I want to give it to you and I know this isn't going to help everything and solve all your problems, but I want you to use this and spend it on whatever you want. If you want to spend it on your family, you can spend it on your family.
You're you're giving it to your daughter? Yeah, I'm trying to put it on my wallet. Wow, that's crazy. Search clothes, people want it.
Yeah? I think the money touched your hand for less than 3 seconds. What the heck? As soon as I gave it to you, you you gave it away.
That's what I wanted to do. That's what I wanted to do. That speaks about who you are. We live in a free country because of you.
Never forget it, all right? Hey. Thank you. God bless you.
Thanks, Sam. Yeah, thanks. Thank you, too.
