PNG to WebP

Convert up to 10 static PNG files into WebP images in your browser. Adjust lossy quality without calling quality 1.0 a lossless encoding mode.

Conversion results

How it works

Each static PNG is signature-checked, decoded, and re-encoded sequentially as lossy WebP at the selected quality.

Example

A transparent 1200 × 1200 PNG becomes a 1200 × 1200 WebP with decoded alpha preserved at the selected lossy quality.

Formats, quality, and limits

Decoded alpha is preserved where browser WebP encoding supports it. Quality 1.0 is not described as lossless; APNG is rejected.

Source EXIF, GPS, camera, artist, comment, and filename metadata are not copied. Browser decoding may normalize color; ICC or Display P3 round-tripping is not promised.
