Browser-local Unicode utility

Unicode Character Search

Locate a desired Unicode character from its literal glyph, U+ value, hexadecimal value, or official name.

Loading local Unicode character data…

    Method and example

The local index contains ordinary named entries from UnicodeData.txt 16.0.0. It supports literal characters, U+ values, 0x values, bare four-to-six-digit hexadecimal values, official names, and partial names.

U+0041 finds LATIN CAPITAL LETTER A; U+2713 finds CHECK MARK; and U+1F600 finds GRINNING FACE. Name searches show at most 100 results.

    Scope and Unicode semantics

This compiled scope excludes UnicodeData range-marker records such as algorithmically named ideograph ranges and entries without an ordinary name. It therefore does not claim every assigned Unicode scalar value.

All user content is rendered as inert text. The tools do not provide impersonation, domain spoofing, moderation bypass, or credential-disguise features.

    Accessibility and privacy

Glyph appearance is never the only label: results include descriptive names, categories, or code points. Controls are keyboard operable and status updates occur after deliberate search or transformation actions.
