USTA and Harvard biographies identify Butorac as a Rochester native. The Harvard record says he began playing tennis at age five in Rochester.

That origin is separate from his later professional and administrative work outside Minnesota; the profile does not turn a birthplace or childhood training location into a present-residence claim.

Gustavus was a documented development stage

The Gustavus Athletics Hall of Fame records Butorac’s years at the college, his 2003 degree and NCAA Division III singles and doubles championships.

The college record provides institution-specific evidence rather than asking a general sports biography to establish the Minnesota education relationship.

Professional progress came through doubles

ATP and USTA records document a professional doubles career that produced 18 tour-level titles and a run to the 2014 Australian Open final.
