Documented technical contributions
Helping people build their next chapter online.
Support can include time, design and technical skills. These two projects document different kinds of contribution: voluntary small-business assistance for Shannon Beard’s United by R&S Jewelry, and professional website support for Veteran Excellence Magazine.

United by R&S Jewelry: a storefront for Shannon’s work
Shannon Beard’s United by R&S Jewelry makes handmade, faith-inspired bracelets. The business and its maker are the center of this project. Josh volunteered to help strengthen the Shopify storefront so people discovering Shannon’s jewelry could understand the products, find useful guidance and navigate toward a purchase.

Storefront and shopping experience
The completed work included storefront design, clearer calls to action, homepage merchandising and customer navigation. Product and collection presentation were connected with practical buying guidance, rather than relying only on attention from a social post.
- Improved homepage presentation, mobile readability and product-discovery paths.
- Created sizing, care and gift guidance, plus custom-request and private-feedback pathways.
- Improved page and priority-product metadata, internal links, heading structure and organization structured data.
- Prepared the storefront and story page for launch traffic and for a future video component using real, approved metadata.
Completed work and unfinished items
The project documentation records the storefront, navigation, content and technical changes above. It separately identifies product-vendor cleanup, certain collection-publication decisions and final video details as follow-up items. Those are not presented here as completed repairs or currently available features.
The contribution documented here is the voluntary technical work. No dollar value is assigned to Josh’s time. Customer purchases are business transactions, not donations by Josh. This record makes no claim that every sale was caused by his work or that customer spending equals merchandise revenue or profit.
This account is based on Josh’s first-party project documentation. The business’s Faith, Craft & Community page provides its own public context. No private analytics, customer records, owner photographs or quotations are reproduced.
Professional technical work · digital-publishing support
Veteran Excellence Magazine: making existing reporting easier to navigate
Veteran Excellence Magazine publishes reporting about veterans and their families. Josh’s contribution improved the publication’s existing Hostinger website. Its public profile identifies his web development and SEO role, and its team page distinguishes digital technology from editorial leadership.
What the project covered
- Audited 112 sitemap URLs.
- Built a responsive three-person team section and developed professional and author profiles.
- Improved technical and on-page SEO, search metadata and internal links, alongside accessibility, mobile presentation and reader navigation.
- Connected author identities and editorial content so readers could follow the correct profile and reporting relationships.
- Verified four affected live pages and 45 link/image destinations during the project review.
The audit and verification counts describe the project record supplied by Josh. They are not traffic results, an independent certification or a claim that every page in the publication was rebuilt.
A technical contribution to an existing publication. Josh did not build the magazine from scratch or take an editor’s role. Reporting, article authorship and editorial decisions remain with the publication’s editorial leadership. No measured search-ranking gain is claimed.
This is professional technical and digital-publishing work. It is not classified as independent press coverage about Josh, and it is not assigned a charitable dollar value or labeled as unpaid work.
