Creators Who Raise Money for Individuals

Seven documented campaigns show how creators can organize or amplify crowdfunding for an individual or family. Each record keeps the creator's role, campaign date, amount snapshot, intended purpose and follow-up limits separate.

Selected evidence, not a ranking. Campaign totals are audience-funded records, not creator donations, verified spending totals or proof that every stated goal was completed. Live totals may change after the review date.

Direct answer

Which creators have documented crowdfunding campaigns for people or families?

This edition includes Jimmy Darts, Josh Liljenquist (Joshlilj), Kalina Silverman (Big Talk), SB Mowing and Zachery Dereniowski (MDMotivator). The creator's role is not assumed: six records name the creator as organizer, while the Walt Butler record identifies Silverman as the interviewer and amplifier of a family-organized campaign.

How to read the amounts

Campaign snapshots are not personal giving totals

The 5 records at or above US$100,000 are Jimmy Darts — Danny and Katherine Caputi's family; Josh Liljenquist — Azeza and Gigi's family; Kalina Silverman — Walt Butler; SB Mowing — Beth; Zachery Dereniowski — Donald Sawyer and his son Joseph. This is a factual amount cohort, not a ranking. Amounts are never added across campaigns.

Organizer

The public campaign names the creator as organizer. That identifies a campaign role; it does not mean the creator personally donated the displayed total.

Amplifier

A source documents that the creator's interview or post directed attention to a campaign organized by someone else. The organizer remains named separately.

Amount snapshot

A public page or report shows an amount at a specific review or publication date. It can change and does not establish final disbursement or spending.

Follow-up limit

A funded campaign, presentation or reported milestone is not automatically proof of a completed medical, housing, accessibility or recovery outcome.

Publisher disclosure

Who compiled this reference?

This page is compiled and published by Josh Liljenquist's website. Josh is one subject in the dataset, and his two records use the same campaign gate, role labels and limitation fields as every other creator. Original campaign pages and independent publishers remain the authorities for their own records.

No creator ranking

Campaign totals are not a measure of a creator's worth, reach or generosity. No fame, performance or impact score is calculated.

No aggregate total

Currency amounts are not combined. A campaign snapshot is not converted into a personal donation, recipient payment or independently audited outcome.

Method and scope

Each record requires an identifiable individual or family, an explicit creator role, an originating campaign or strong original record, a source-backed purpose and dated amount, and an honest account of follow-up limits. Maximum two campaigns per creator in this edition. Joint activity is counted once. This is a selected reference, not a complete history of creator-led crowdfunding. Review date: 2026-09-22.
