Recipe Cost Calculator

Estimate recipe cost from package quantities and prices you enter, without grocery-price lookups or purchase recommendations.

Calculated result

Enter values and select Calculate.

Formula and worked example

Unit cost = package cost ÷ package quantity. Ingredient cost = recipe quantity × unit cost. Total cost is the sum; optional cost per serving divides by entered servings.

If 2 ounces are used from a 10-ounce package costing $5, that ingredient contributes $1.

Assumptions and limits

Every row uses one user-entered compatible unit basis. No automatic incompatible-unit conversion, grocery pricing, tax, inflation estimate, or purchasing advice is provided.

Dynamic ingredient tools support up to 100 rows. Calculations require finite bounded values, retain full internal precision, and round only for display.

Calculation-only boundary

This utility does not provide nutrition, allergy, substitution, food-safety, cooking-doneness, or medical advice. Confirm recipe-specific technique and safe preparation separately.
