Grade Curve Calculator

Compare raw scores with a transparent add-points, multiplier, square-root, or highest-to-100 transformation.

Calculated result

Enter values and select Calculate.

Formula and method

Add mode applies raw + points. Multiply mode applies raw × factor. Square-root mode applies √(raw ÷ 100) × 100. Highest-to-100 adds the same 100 − highest adjustment to every score.

Worked example

For scores 72, 80, and 90, highest-to-100 adds 10 points and returns 82, 90, and 100.

Assumptions and limits

There is no universal grade curve. This calculator applies only the mathematical method selected; it does not recommend a policy or alter official records.

Up to 50 rows are supported where rows are used. Calculations require finite bounded numbers and keep full precision internally; rounding is for display only.

School-policy boundary

Grading, GPA, credit, rounding, extra-credit, and course policies vary. This arithmetic tool does not determine admission, graduation, academic standing, scholarship, honors, athletic eligibility, or an official transcript result. Confirm the applicable syllabus or institutional policy.
