How it works
The timer uses a monotonic browser timestamp rather than counting callbacks, so delayed rendering does not add time. Displayed WPM equals correct characters divided by five and then by elapsed minutes. Gross WPM uses all typed characters. Accuracy equals currently correct characters divided by total typed characters.
Limits and interpretation
Choose 15, 30, 60, or 120 seconds. Paste and drag-and-drop are disabled so the result reflects typed input. Corrected errors update the final accuracy. Results describe this browser test and do not imply laboratory timing precision.
