Browser-local randomizer

Random State Generator

Choose one or more of the 50 U.S. states at random, with postal abbreviations and optional unique results.

Choose options and generate a result.

How it works

The shared engine turns secure unsigned browser values into eligible indexes with rejection sampling. Unique list results use a partial Fisher–Yates shuffle instead of repeated rerolls.

Exactly 50 states

The default and only pool contains the 50 U.S. states and USPS postal abbreviations. Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories are not silently treated as states.

Limits and use

Generation is capped to keep the page responsive. Copy includes only the displayed results. Reset clears the current result without persisting earlier selections.
