Browser-local random picker

Random Job Generator

Pick occupations at random from a reviewed project-authored local list, with broad category filters and unique results.

Pick from 143 reviewed entries

The tool will be ready after its local script initializes.

How it works

The occupation pool was written and reviewed for this project, normalized to readable singular titles, and grouped only into broad practical categories.

Selection uses the site’s audited rejection-sampling randomizer engine. Unique mode uses a partial Fisher–Yates shuffle so one reviewed entry is not favored over another.

Worked example

Choose “Science & technology” and request 4 unique job titles for a classroom or writing prompt.

Use Copy for one result or Copy all for the displayed batch.

Scope and limitations

This is an idea picker, not a career recommendation, labor-market database, eligibility test, or exhaustive occupation taxonomy.
