One task, clear steps
Work Instruction Template
Write an instruction for one specific task: what to prepare, what to do in order, the key points at each step, and the result to check. The standard version has a ten-step table; the visual version has three larger step panels that can be duplicated in Word. No account or upload is required.

How to use it
Enter the task title, related SOP, owner, version, and effective date. List prerequisites and tools. For each numbered step, describe the action, the detail that matters, and the expected result. Add verification, completion criteria, and a safe escalation path if an expected result is not reached. In the visual version, replace each labeled placeholder with your own task image while retaining text instructions.
Work instruction or SOP?
A work instruction focuses on exactly how one task is performed. A standard operating procedure covers a broader process, including scope, roles, controls, records, and document maintenance. Link a work instruction from its parent SOP when both are useful.
Privacy and limitations
This page has no instruction-entry form; the files work offline. The PDF is a blank printable form, while the Word file is editable. These generic office examples are not hazardous-machine, electrical, chemical, medical, manufacturing, safety, or regulatory procedures. Supply your own verified task content and approval process before operational use.
