How it works
A locally bundled QR decoder examines pixel data from an uploaded raster image or a bounded camera frame approximately ten times per second. Decoded content is displayed as untrusted plain text and never opened automatically.
Limits and assumptions
This scanner supports QR codes only, not UPC, EAN, Code 128, Data Matrix, PDF417, or Aztec. Camera access starts only after you press Start Camera. Browser permissions, lighting, focus, damage, cropping, or a very small code may prevent a scan.
