How it works
An oscillator in the browser generates the selected waveform at the entered frequency. The volume slider controls a gain node; its maximum gain is deliberately conservative. Changing frequency or waveform while playing updates that local oscillator.
Example and limits
Select 440 Hz and Sine for a common reference pitch, then press Stop when finished.
Keep your listening level low. Sustained or loud tones can be uncomfortable. Actual audible output depends on speakers, headphones, device limits, and hearing. This is not a hearing test, diagnosis, tinnitus treatment, or medical device. No autoplay or microphone request.
