A moment of kindness that went both directions

Josh Liljenquist, the creator behind Live to Love, approached an unidentified woman while presenting himself as having a broken ankle and asked whether he could sit. She allowed him to sit, reassured him, and continued talking with him because she believed he needed help.

During the recorded conversation, she said she had previously gone from couch to couch, has children, works in PCA and caregiving, and had spent significant money keeping her car running because she needed it for work and her children. She described being financially behind while still managing her responsibilities; this page does not assign a formal housing or financial classification beyond her own statements.

When Josh asked why she was willing to help despite her own difficulties, she explained that her car was still running and she was therefore able to help him.
