Decimal units
1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes and 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. Storage and upload limits commonly use these units.
Video post-production calculator
Estimate a finished video’s size from duration and bitrate—or calculate the video bitrate that fits a target size.
Private by design: this calculator processes numbers only in your browser. It never uploads video, stores inputs, changes the URL, or sends values to analytics.

Estimated result
8 Mbps video + 192 kbps audio for 10 minutes.
The calculator adds video and audio bitrates, multiplies by duration, and converts bits to bytes. Reverse mode subtracts the selected audio bitrate from the total stream budget. A positive overhead percentage can approximate container metadata and muxing overhead.
1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes and 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. Storage and upload limits commonly use these units.
1 MiB = 1,048,576 bytes and 1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes. The result shows both systems so the convention is explicit.
Real encodes can vary. Treat the answer as an estimate and leave headroom when you must stay under a hard upload limit.
An 8 Mbps video stream plus 192 kbps audio for 10 minutes is 614.4 MB decimal, or about 585.938 MiB, before optional overhead.
bytes = (video bps + audio bps) × seconds ÷ 8 × (1 + overhead)
