Formula and method
Exact estimated pages equal word count divided by the editable words-per-page assumption. The optional whole-page result always rounds upward with the ceiling function.
Worked example
1,000 words at 250 words per page equals 4 pages. 1,250 words at 500 words per page equals 2.5 pages.
Limits
Pagination varies with font, font size, spacing, margins, headings, paragraph spacing, and paper size. Presets only populate the editable assumption and are not universal formatting rules.

Are values uploaded?
No. Calculation happens locally and values are not placed in URLs or browser storage.
Why can the estimate differ?
The calculator applies only the displayed arithmetic and assumptions. It cannot model unentered formatting or real-world timing factors.
