Method and worked example
Nutrient mass = area ÷ basis area × entered nutrient rate. Product mass = nutrient mass ÷ (matching label percentage/100). No P₂O₅-to-P or K₂O-to-K conversion is performed.
Example: 5,000 ft² × 1 lb N per 1,000 ft² = 5 lb N. At 20% N on the product label, 5 ÷ 0.20 = 25 lb product.
Assumptions and limitations
This is arithmetic from a user-chosen rate and label percentage. It does not prescribe fertilizer, timing, mixing, environmental safety, or regulatory compliance.
All entered measurements remain in this browser. This page does not upload them, add them to URLs, or save them to browser storage.
Common question
Which percentage should I enter? Enter the percentage for the same nutrient named by your target rate, directly as shown on the product label.
