Supplier coverage and optional pricing

Enter the supplier's actual coverage. Rolls and pallets are alternative purchasing summaries; do not add the two totals together.

How it works

Rectangle area = length × width. Circle area = π × radius². Triangle area = base × height ÷ 2. Add non-overlapping areas, then multiply by 1 + waste allowance ÷ 100. Divide the adjusted area by supplier coverage per roll or pallet and round up separately.

Feet or inches display ft²; meters or centimeters display m². Coverage inputs use that same displayed area unit.

Worked example

A 20 ft × 15 ft lawn is 300 ft². With 5% waste, plan for 315 ft². If a supplier's roll covers 10 ft², the estimate is 32 rolls. If a pallet covers 500 ft², the alternative estimate is 1 pallet.

These coverage values are examples only; actual sod dimensions and pallet counts vary by supplier.
