Method
The solver enumerates all 32 possible first-row press patterns, chases each forced row, rejects patterns that leave the last row lit, and chooses the valid pattern with the fewest presses. Ties use a deterministic binary ordering.
Limitations
This page supports only the classic 5×5 plus-neighbor rule and an all-off target. It does not accept screenshots, automate another game, or support custom board sizes, diagonal rules, or arbitrary cellular automata.
