Method and pinned scope

This implementation pins The Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition Notes–Bibliography system. It creates full first notes and bibliography entries. Shortened notes, subsequent-note logic, and Chicago author-date are outside scope.

Supported source types: journal article, book, and webpage. Titles remain as entered. The tool does not invent capitalization, journal abbreviations, authors, dates, or missing metadata.

Authoritative style source

Limits and review

Manual metadata only. No DOI resolution, URL fetching, journal lookup, or abbreviation guessing occurs. Institution and publication requirements may vary.

Only http and https URLs are accepted. Civil dates are preserved without timezone conversion.
