Sir, are you okay? You need me to leave? No, I didn't make you throw this chicken on you. Are you okay?
I got to go. I give you get you something to drink or snack on if that if you need it. You sure? Yeah.
I'm Cynthia, by the way. Josh, you have a baby? Yeah, but I got foster care when she left the hospital at 2 weeks old. And you're a foster mom?
Yes. I was in foster care myself and then I just wanted to get back and that's the way to get back. My friends are having their baby. They're going to lose her.
I said no. I didn't want them to lose her to the system. So, I stepped up. I have $2.
I'll just take one. You want one? Yeah. That's going to help you.
That'll help me. Thank you. You're welcome. Are you sure?
Yeah. Oh, she's gripping my hand. She's so cute. She was born 2 weeks early on my mom's birthday that I lost the cancer.
She's been with me ever since. She healed me. She need me as much as I need her. Are you struggling yourself?
Yeah, I am kind of. It's kind of hard. Babies are expensive, especially with diapers. You don't have diapers?
No, actually, low. I got two diapers in my bag. What are you going to do when you run out? Uh, you should try to find help, you know.
Oh, well, I can't take this from you. You sure? Yeah. If you need it for diapers, I don't want to take it from you.
How does it feel to be in mom? I didn't get blessed to have myself. It was crazy. When I got hurt, I was praying.
I'm like I was asking God like, "Why is it people are being blessed with babies that are either killing their babies or losing their babies to the system? Why can't I be blessed with one? I know you loving that, but it's kind of windy. So, I've been successfully housed for se almost 7 years now since 2019.
But I was homeless for like 2 years on my own, sleeping on the trains, on the buses, outside. Are you still in that situation where you can't really afford to eat? Uh, well, right now, yeah, I'm I'm struggling till I get paid next week. So, what are you going to do until then?
uh make a way panhandle or try to reach out to people I know. You have $2. Yep. Hey, if I went around the street, I might have found 10.
You never know. Yeah. Or you could have found 200. What?
Wait, you kidding me, right? I'm not kidding you. I I appreciate that. Yeah.
I was looking for the first kind person and you were that person. I appreciate that. It takes a village. You know what I'm saying?
Be kind to each other. You know what I'm saying? So, appreciation. You see someone help in need, help them.
You know what I'm saying? That's okay, baby.
