Paragraph-block rule

A paragraph block is one or more non-blank lines bounded by a blank line or an input edge. Spaces and tabs alone form a blank separator. Consecutive non-blank lines stay in the same block; multiple blank lines create only one separation. LF, CRLF, and CR are normalized before analysis. Empty input is zero blocks.

Worked example

First paragraph.\n\nSecond paragraph. contains two blocks. Line one\nline two\n\nAnother block also contains two blocks: the first two lines are one block.

Limitations and related tools

This is a formatting-based count, not sentence analysis or a writing-quality score. A single wrapped line is still one logical line. Use Line Counter for line and blank-line details, or the existing Sentence Counter for sentence-like segments.
