Private browser-local text utility

A1Z26 Cipher Decoder

Encode ASCII letters as A=1 through Z=26, or decode explicitly separated values back to uppercase letters.

Translate text

Maximum 50,000 UTF-16 code units. Processing starts only after you choose Convert.

Ready. Enter text and choose an action.

Method

Decode mode accepts integers 1–26 separated by hyphens or whitespace. Use a slash between words. Encode mode places hyphens between characters and a slash between source words.

Worked example

HELLO becomes 8-5-12-12-15. Decoding 8-5-12-12-15 returns HELLO.

Limitations

Values outside 1–26 and malformed tokens are rejected. Unseparated strings such as 125 are not guessed because they can represent more than one letter sequence.

Privacy and text handling

Processing is deterministic and browser-local. ASCII letter rules are explicit. Unsupported Unicode text passes through unchanged where the selected method permits it.
