Parser, result types, and limits
V1 uses browser DOMParser in XML mode and document.evaluate with the browser XPath 1.0 engine. It reports node, string, number, and boolean results. XML is capped at 200,000 characters; node results are capped at 500.
Namespace resolution is not supported in V1. XPath 2.0, XPath 3.x, XQuery, JSONPath, DOCTYPE, and ENTITY declarations are unsupported. Results are inserted as text, never executable markup. The page never loads referenced URLs.
