Waveform method and privacy
The browser decodes the selected audio file in memory. Each channel is summarized independently with deterministic min/max buckets; the report shows duration, sample rate, channel count, and peak amplitude. This visualizes amplitude over time, unlike the Audio Spectrum Analyzer’s frequency-domain display.
Limits: browser-supported audio formats, 25 MB, 30 minutes, 8 channels, and 50 million decoded samples. No microphone is requested, no playback object URL is retained, and no audio leaves this tab.
