Resin Calculator

Plan the volume of already-mixed resin needed for a pour. This does not calculate component ratios or handling instructions.

Enter values and select Calculate.

Planning arithmetic only. All variable material assumptions remain visible and user-entered; results are not material, construction, or safety instructions.

Formula and method

Rectangle: volume = length × width × thickness. Circle: volume = π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × thickness. Known area: volume = area × thickness. An optional entered allowance multiplies the resulting volume by 1 + percentage ÷ 100. Lengths are normalized before multiplication. Unit conversions follow the NIST conversion factors.

Worked example

A 24 in × 12 in surface poured 0.25 in thick requires 72 in³ of finished mixed resin before allowance, approximately 1.17987 L.

Scope and limitations

This is finished mixed-resin volume, not weight. Actual loss, cavities, rounded corners, uneven thickness, and container residue can change use. No Part A/B ratio, catalyst, hardener, cure time, temperature, PPE, or chemical handling amount is calculated. Follow the specific manufacturer’s formulation and handling instructions.
