Browser-local angle arithmetic

Coterminal Angle Calculator

Find the least nonnegative angle and bounded positive and negative coterminal examples.

Calculate

Enter values and calculate.

Formula and method

Coterminal angles equal θ + 360°k or θ + 2πk, where k is an integer. Positive normalization uses a corrected modulo operation for negative values.

Worked example

30° has least nonnegative angle 30°, positive example 390°, and negative example −330°.

Limits and ownership boundary

Coterminal angles share a terminal side. This does not calculate the distinct acute reference-angle relationship.
