Planning arithmetic only. All variable material assumptions remain visible and user-entered; results are not material, construction, or safety instructions.

Formula and method

Base wax mass = entered wax mass per candle × candle quantity. Planned wax mass = base wax × (1 + your allowance ÷ 100). If you supply a fragrance percentage of wax weight, fragrance mass = planned wax × percentage ÷ 100. The wax mass is not reduced to maintain a fixed finished-blend total. Weight conversions follow NIST factors.

Worked example

Six candles at 200 g wax each require 1,200 g wax before allowance. At a user-entered 8% fragrance rate relative to wax, fragrance mass is 96 g and total blend mass is 1,296 g.

Scope and limitations

The fragrance percentage is an input, not a recommendation. Confirm material limits with your wax and fragrance suppliers. This page does not select wax, wick, vessel, temperature, flash point, burn time, or candle-safety process.
