Method and limits
Supports bounded Standard MIDI format 0 and 1 with PPQN timing, running status, tempo maps, channel messages, common metadata, and safely skipped SysEx data. Format 2 and SMPTE division are rejected. Limits are 10 MB, 128 tracks, 200,000 events, and 50,000 notes. No playback or MIDI device access occurs.
