Water Weight Calculator

Calculate water mass from volume using an explicit editable approximate density.

Initializing.

Method and example

Mass = volume × density. V1 defaults to the explicit approximation 1.000 kg/L and permits a custom density. Two liters at that assumption equal 2 kg; 1 L at 0.9982 kg/L equals 0.9982 kg.

Limits

This is not temperature-corrected. Water density varies with temperature and pressure; IAPWS notes even maximum-density liquid water is slightly below 1 g/cm³. The default must not be applied silently to saltwater or other liquids.
