Pipe Weight Calculator
Calculate theoretical hollow round-pipe material weight from explicit geometry and user-entered density.
Inputs
Result
Initializing.
Method and example
ID = OD − 2t. Material area = π/4 × (OD² − ID²); volume = area × length; mass = volume × entered density. For 100 mm OD, 10 mm wall, 1 m length, and 1000 kg/m³ density, mass is about 2.8274334 kg.
Limits
Round hollow pipe only. No schedule/NPS database or material presets are used. This theoretical mass does not certify lifting, structural support, transport safety, pressure rating, or code compliance.
