Method and worked example

R:1 means R parts fuel to one part oil by volume. Entered volume is fuel before oil. Oil = fuel ÷ R. One US gallon at 50:1 needs 2.56 US fl oz; 5 L at 50:1 needs 100 mL.

Scope and limitations

Use the mix ratio specified by your equipment manufacturer. This tool does not choose a ratio, engine compatibility, fuel grade, oil specification, mixing procedure, handling, storage, or warranty requirement.
